Brief: Working alongside a graphic designer, it was my job to humanise the brewery’s iconic Steamin’ Billy to add a further dimension of interest to both the pubs themselves and the real ales and ciders produced by this award-winning microbrewery.

The pub - The Paget, in Paget Street, Loughborough - offers a combination of real ales, draught beers and cocktails, so has to appeal to a diverse cross section of customers.

Equally, my other task was to come up with descriptions for the various facilities and services offered.

Reiki brochure:

Occasionally working as a Reiki therapist in my spare time, I wrote all of the wording for this brochure, and worked with a graphic designer to come up with something that was visually eye-catching, yet with a calm, relaxing feel to it, in line with the treatment itself.

Many people are unsure about what Reiki is and what its purpose is, so it was essential to explain its benefits and how it works in a clear way.

Format-wise, the brochure needed to be easily portable, so people could pick it up, take it home and digest the information at their leisure.
